I’m packing my bags to head north/east to Ottawa for a girls only weekend with my dear friends Ashley and Sandra. Usually, our weekends also include our friend Kyle and at times our significant others. No matter what lofty plans we have to go out on the town, our itinerary remains the same: arrive in Ottawa around midnight on Friday and spend the following 40 hours bunkered down indoors. And I’m fine with that.

With just the girls getting together, we have no illusions of making it out into public, but we are changing things up a bit. Crafts. That’s right, we’re planning some good old embroidery friendship bracelets to go along with our wine. We’ll see how that goes.

Meanwhile, I’m missing Charlie who’s north with my parents and will especially miss her in Ottawa when I see Frankie.
